Bitcoin puzzles with real prizes
Solve it first. The bitcoin is yours.
Each puzzle hides the seed words to a funded Bitcoin wallet. Work through every layer, submit the words before anyone else, and the prize is yours. The fastest correct solver wins.
How it works
Four steps from puzzle to payout
- 01
Get the puzzle
Each puzzle launches here with its rules, its prize and the public wallet that holds it.
- 02
Work the layers
Ciphers, hidden images, wordplay and real-world clues you'll only find on Google Street View. Each layer unlocks the next.
- 03
Submit your words
Enter the seed words on the site. Every entry is timestamped to the millisecond, so the first correct one wins.
- 04
Claim the bitcoin
We confirm your entry and send the wallet passphrase. Restore the wallet in Electrum and move the prize to your own wallet.
Provably fair
Check every puzzle yourself
You don't have to take our word for it. The prize, the answer and the payout can all be verified by anyone.
Watch the prize
The prize wallet address is public from day one. Tap it to open it on mempool.space, a public Bitcoin explorer, and see the balance for yourself.
Answer locked at launch
Before anyone plays, we publish a SHA-256 fingerprint of the answer. After the win we reveal it, and anyone can confirm it never changed.
Payouts you can see
When a winner claims the prize, the transaction is public on the Bitcoin blockchain. Past puzzles links every payout.

The same answer always produces the same fingerprint. Change a single letter and it comes out completely different.
Made for people
Built to outsmart AI
Chatbots crack standard codes and crosswords in seconds, so our puzzles go further. Steps chain together, ciphers are invented for each puzzle, and some clues only exist out in the world. Use any tool you like. You'll still have to think.

Questions
- Who can play?
- Adults 18 and over. A few states don't allow paid contests, so paid puzzles won't be open there. The full eligibility list comes with each puzzle's rules.
- Do I need to know crypto?
- No. Solving takes sharp eyes and patience. To claim a prize you'll set up a free Electrum wallet, and we'll walk you through it.
- Where do I get Electrum?
- Only from the official site, electrum.org. Type the address in yourself instead of following ads or links, because fake copies of Electrum are used to steal bitcoin. We will never send you a download link.
- How much does it cost to play?
- Smaller puzzles are free to play and carry smaller BTC prizes. Bigger paid puzzles with larger prizes run once or twice a month. Joining the email list is always free.
- Can I see past puzzles?
- Yes. Puzzles lists every puzzle with its prize address, answer fingerprint, solve time and payout, each linked so you can check it yourself.
- When do the first puzzles launch?
- We'll announce the date and time ahead, and every puzzle unlocks for everyone at the same minute. People on the list hear first.
